Need Gaming Laptop Recommendations

Hello Steam Community!

Before you start, I am more than well aware of every reason not to buy a gaming laptop vs a desktop. That being said, I am going to be traveling a lot in the near future and I need the portability. What I want is to be able to play AAA games on mid to high settings smoothly and without issue. I'm not competitive or even play much multiplayer, so I don't need the best in the business. For reference, a few games I would like to be able to play are AC: Odyssey and Greedfall. Regarding price, I'm looking in the $1500 range, but cheaper is obviously better. That being said, I don't want the laptop to go out of date in the next few years and have all of my money go to waste. If I have to pay extra to ensure I'll get at least 5 good years of use playing all of the newest games, I'm willing to. A few laptops I've been looking at are the new OMEN 15 and Helios 300, both of which are on sale on various sites. I defer to you, the experts, and I greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!

if that thing costs $1.5k then there is something really wrong with where you look.
those specs should cost around $1k

the i7-9750h/rtx2070 omen 15 should cost around 1.5k and should be a better long-term choice.

I believe this is exactly the one I was looking at. Although on the HP website, it was $1300.
