I do see where you come from. I just found out the other day that I have a steam game value of $1,580 and soon to be more.
Well exactly, you could have taken your business elsewhere, and you didn't. You chose to shop here. If GAME's rewards are so great, why on earth have you given Steam that ~£1000 instead of them? Surely there are reasons.
I have +300 games, +$3000 USD worth of games spanning 7 years.
I dont want a loyality program that might cut down on the daily / weekend sales and seasonal speicals. BTW, I always buy my games on sale on steam. If I find a game I want, add it to wishlist and wait for steam sale. I LOVE THE STEAM WINTER SALE!!!!!!!
Is having the retail box and some reward points worth a extra £5 to £10 ? Only reason I buy games from GAME sometimes is because they on sale or in some rare cases are cheaper than steam.
But I agree with the OP that we steam should have some kind of reward system for people who spend lots of money.
You think 150 games is impressive at £1000? Try 716, at £5496 (and that's not considering that a lot of those games are bought new, and some of them can't even be bought again.)
You were the one who brought it up first, no him. He isn't boasting either. He is saying that he would not have gotten so many game and spent do much if it wasn't for the sales. The same sale that would have to go away and/or change to higher prices if they add a "rewards" program.
Those programs cost companies money. Companies are in the buissness of making money. Steam has no reason to add a rewards program since they are already popular and don't need to sell you information (rewards programs make money back because of this).
I would prefer to keep the sales and not have my information sold to another company.
Our loyalty is rewared with good sales coming on a regular basis. Two times a week and another every day, plus all the other big sales they have on a regular basis. Anything more is just getting greedy.
You not asking for anyting new either. This has be asked before in the forums and told why it won't happen each time. Try searching next time.
