Unlock all badges

Sometimes I wish I didn't upgrade a badge to a new level because the text or picture of the badge from before are better looking/sounding and would fit me and my profile better than the new level.

It would be neat, and a nice tweak, to be able to select every lower crafted badge of the badges you have crafted already, f.e. I crafted the level 5 badge of 'The Witcher 2', thus in theory I can choose between the badges that make that specific badge. Meaning today I want to show level 4 badge of 'The Witcher 2' and tomorrow I want to show level 1.

i know this idea has been brought up before, but i will again put my vote in for it.

There are badges i won't upgrade because i don't want ot lose the current image/words on the one i have. So, from people like me, Valve loses money because i buy less trading cards.

i would keep upgrading some badges if i could keep the old look/design as well, as you say and display the one i want.

It has been brought up many times. And I think I'm repeating myself at least one time

I don't think the tweak will be too much work, because my steam app already recorded what badges are underneath the level 5 ones that I have.
They just have to add some exceptions, in casu the event and steam specific ones (like badge for the collected games, years member, ...).

Why? maybe i want to show my Year one for ever on my profile
Really do not see much reason to block that, if on the badge page outer users will yet be able to see the latest badge

Defininitely this. Considering they are unlocked and meant for display it's kinda weird we can't do this already.

I actually like this idea - Although, I would wipe all of my badges. I want to be level 1 again.
