And new crafted Badges should not give XP again.
I agree, deleting and remaking the badge for exp would just ruin the super accessible card economy. I want them to be cheap and accessible forever.
Still... it would be nice if those four "most recent badges" on the profile could be set to "whatever we want". For example i had deliberately waited to craft badges i want so they all displayed.. then my "3 year Steam" badge came around and threw it all off. Now the only way to get rid of that "3 years on Steam" badge is for me to craft the four new bages in order to "push" the "years of service" badge off my profile again.
You have the badge showcase for that, and that's indeed why you can't customise those badges.
Still, i understand what the badge showcase is for. i just wish for something more.
Why would recraft of cheap badges be bad? The worst thing it can happen is that the cards value raises, hence more profits for valve. I don't see how that would be bad.
Of course that if you delete a badge, you also lose all the experience that badge gives.
Eh... but then again, as you already said: that's Valve's way to keep you crafting :)
And it also is going to break the level limit, that for now only apply on events
And come on Valve is a company, they are here for profit, but not only that
Regarding the card's price... that might be a bummer for the users with a small wallet, but for a company that aims only to make more money, I don't see how that could be a bad thing.
Then again: if you deny any further item drop, and if, upon deleting a badge, you take off from the account the experience that badge granted, I don't see how this would increase the cards' prices.
