Add TwitchTV Emotes as Drops for Steam Chat
Spending a lot of time on Twitch watching streams and participating in chat, I find myself wanting to end a particularly witty steam message to one of my friends with a Kappa. Sometimes I want to express my delight at an event with a Kreygasm, or even give a single solitary BibleThump after a crushing defeat. Honestly it makes me a little PJSalt-y that I can't. :P

I imagine this could be done in tandem with Twitch. An event where as you watch streams with your steam account connected to your Twitch account (something that already exists) you have a chance to get a TwitchTV emote for steam to drop every 15 minutes or whatever.

To expand this further. In the future specific Twitch broadcaster subscriber emotes could become cross platform. Able to be used on Twitch as well as steam if you have an active subscription.

I think this would be a fun way to add a well known emoticon list to a service that is already equipped to handle them.

1) There are many little icons you can aquire on Steam. None of those are good enough?
2) Faces of Twitch employees on Steam. Does this make any sense?
3) If your friends know what kappa means, then you can just type that. Do you really need the face of some random dude to indicate that you are kidding?
4) Back in my day, we just typed "j/k" to indicate "just kidding". You can't do that?
5) Kappa is a lame inside joke with no humorous merit.
6) Kappa has been used to death. It stopped being funny a LONG time ago.

I have a feeling twitch wouldn't like that very much if another company took emotes from their site and added them to their client. So I'm sure this will never happen.
