When Will Mojang Create a Store Page of Minecraft on Steam?
Notch refused to do that a decade ago but the development team is now under the successful guidance of Microsoft, which is already enough of a reason for VALVe and Mojang to negotiate considering in what way Minecraft is leading to, it would only make sense to have it on Steam. It might even boost the playercount and it is profitable both by Steam and especially Mojang doubling the sales so they can spend more of it on the game tuning up its quality, everyone wins.

They already have a Marketplace. Valve would get a cut of the profits here too.

Why would it be a problem? Make an exclusive one for Steam to outdamage the 8$ loss by gaining 2000% more.

So split the current playerbase. You just defeated any reason to release it on Steam.

Eh, I don't really like Minecraft now for their new censorship rules. The new rules literally ban gun mods. People put hours of hard work into those gun mods.

What are you talking about?!?
THat's not a thing that they can do.
Mods don't get banned.
Period.

That has never happened for any game, and would be the kiss of death for any company.

Wrong, that is false. They can do whatever they want, whether we like it or not unfortunately,

Yeah, that's clearly not real.
LOL.
Microsoft has no power to do that, and even if they did, the fallout would literally be NUCLEAR.
So, they would never do so.

It's 100% fake because of how the rules work.
No company has ever banned a mod from existing.
EVER.

Even Microsoft won't want to be the first company to blow themselves up with a nuclear bomb over this. :P

Seriously, how can anyone believe this is real?

They made a decent list of things you can no longer do or even host for minecraft servers due to the new EULA changes;
Mojang has considered that guns and weapons are “adult content” that violates the game’s usage agreement. And as such, asked the servers’ admins to remove all offending material or risk being permanently banned.

A lot of the new rules make it so they can takedown your server or demand changes or else it'll be taken down. Anything basically not all ages or considered "adult content", including gun mods/gta-like servers etc are apparently prone to this takedown change. Many firearm mod servers have been taken down.

Except no sane human can claim it's happened.
They literally don't have the power to do so.
It's not how servers for Minecraft works.

Bro, the word "night" is banned, same thing with "Japan" because they have letters from the bad bad words.

They do have that power. They have the right to DMCA and take down custom servers if they don't follow the ToS.

It's literally just like hosting custom TF2 servers. If Valve sees those servers breaking their ToS, they can remove them.

Same with the bedrock version of Minecraft.

I'm sorry, but what do you mean here?
That's not how Servers work. At all.
Or mods in general.
