See a private profile if someone requests to add friend.
Well I got a friend request from a random person, and well when I went to see their profile, it was private. Now this tells me that this guy could be a hacker or what not, but since I really can't tell who it is, I ignored the request. This happened a few times already.

My suggestion is that, if someone wants to be your friend and sends a request, you should be able to see their private profile. After all, if you do friend the person, you will see it anyway.

No, there is a setting to have the profile private for everyone, not just everyone but friends.

Ya I know that you can make your profile private. But if a person with a private profile wants to add you to his friends list, it should be made that the person recieveing the request can see the private profile. You never know who you are dealing with.

Worse case scenario, I just IGNORE them.

And if that user has the profile pivate, you would still be in the same boat. If someone wants to add random people to scam, they wouldn't care if people can see the profile or not. They already spent $5 so their account has no restrictions. Chances are, if the user is trying to scam, then it is a hijacked account and not that of a user anyways, so seeing their profile won't offer any insite into that.

You never know. people do make friends on the game as this guy did. He was in the same deathmatch game as I was in.

But yes, to side on caution. Chances are, private profiles are usually not a good idea to friend.

Even if private profile, I tend to add /posthistory or /screenshots to the end of the URL to see if they match anything that I do. Private profile or not, UGC can be public.

If someone is friends only, and he send you a friend request as much as i remember, you will see there profile (as you will become there friend, that gives sence)
But if they have 100% private profile, i do not see why you need to be able to see it in any way

Well like I had mentioned, someone I don't know sends me a friend request. I go check out the page and its Private. So it could be anyone. Russian hacker banned or what not.
Yes if you accept their friend request, you will see their profile after that. But you can't get a sneak peek before hand.

But you know, I think I just answered my own question. Maybe accept the request, and if what is posted is not good, unfriend....

You have miss understand me, while someone has a Friends only profile, if he sends you a Friend Request, then you can see his profile, as long as you did not ignore it (before you accept)

How ever, these is only true with Friends only profiles, Private profiles (that cant be seen also by friends), will not show even then (as it will not show when you accept)

So if all you asked for is when the profile is Friends only, then its here all ready :D: (No need to accept for it)
