Bring Back Open Screenshot Folder Button

This update brought along the horrid screenshot viewer that does not have an open screenshots folder button.

It is no longer simple nor intuitive to access the screenshots on your file system. There used to be a button when viewing screenshots that opened the folder on your OS. It is no longer there.

I just learned from someone that you can right click a screenshot to reveal a show on disk button!


Bruh who the heck at Valve gave the go ahead at moving a button (that has existed for like a decade at least) to a hidden context menu? Not to mention how it takes an additional click too :(

Still, it's no longer intuitive compared to before, especially considering that the button to go to the screenshot folder has existed since like forever.

On top of that, right clicking a screenshot via library brings up a different context menu compared to the screenshot viewer/manager, which can make this less intuitive. Weirdly enough, right clicking via your library brings up an option to download the screenshot even though it already exists in my computer.

Valve has been making their client a lot more cumbersome to use as of late imo.

Give us an OPTION to use the Previous S/Shot manager!

if you want to caption your screenshots you have to caption and upload it one at a time, okay for if you have 1 or 2 screenshots not okay if you have over 30, old manager you can caption which ones you wanted to caption, then select all of them and bulk upload at once

They also made it a pain to upload them, they moved that button behind like 59859494 extra layers of screens and buttons. It was fine the way it was

I love the new screenshot viewer. It's much faster than that old relic, shows you exactly what you need and... considering the times I used the option I'd rather see that precious space go towards what is important here: view space.

Why waste visual space on a button you ony click ever so often? If you do.. then why didn't you add the folder location to your favorites already?

IMO there's nothing to fix here. Maybe other than people so rusted into their habits that they won't even try and instead go into the offense from the getgo.

Right-click Show File Location works for me.
