Unless you have a different game you're refusing to reveal that this is about.
Where was The Crew mentioned in this specific thread?
Unless you say what game you're actually talking about, every other thread made about this subject for the past month has been about The Crew, so I'm going to go with Occam's Razor: the simplest answer is usually the correct one.
The text in the thread, including the title clearly states that it's about games which depend on online servers in order to function and be playable, regardless whether its a games as a service or a single player game.
Well you sure have heck made sure not to provide specific examples in this post, so you left it up to people to assume and guess. You're not scoring points by continuing to be cagey and refusing to mention specific examples and instead focusing on someone's best guess based off your other recent complaints was mistaken.
They left an opening for if they were wrong. So... why not re-read this sentence and respond to that instead of getting hung up on a guess the other user realizes was a guess.
Finally, one of those good rare suggestions, though I could've sworn it did have to be marked with the extra box already. If not, it's generally good to have to display an online-only connection being required.
Games that require an internet connection already have that listed in their system requirements.
They already have it marked. What game are you saying requires an always online connection but doesn't list it?
Given the context, it appears it's not properly noted or otherwise is not as clear as it should be:
"May" does not imply always needed, they need to use more extremely clear language such as "requires an online connection to use".
It should be an extra box like the EULA 3rd party one, but be extremely clear in "Requires online connection to play".
Especially for single-player games or older things, people don't expect such a requirement, and the requirement for older games is extremely silly on capcoms part.
Note: This is presuming, of course, that people are being truthful that legacy 2 requires an online connection, if it did, I presume it would be properly marked.
Not enough! Just like the Early Access agreement, in it's fully blue glory, isn't enough! We need someone to go to their house and explain things to them, word for word, letter by letter and have them initial every paragraph before signing in triplicate! Even then, it still won't be enough! It needs to be tattooed on their forehead, in reverse, so it can be re-read every time they look in a mirror... so there needs to be many mirrors installed in their house to ensure they see it!
From what I have read, it isn't really intended, but they are simply too lazy to fix the bug. So officially, it isn't required, but the code requiring it is still active.
There is a mod that fixes the issue though. 3rd party, of course.
