Proper edit text box

I wonder would we ever get a proper edit text boxes?

I mean actual buttons: select some text, press B button and the text would be with tags
The actual buttons above or under text box

And proper quoting tool, like quoting selected text only, not whole message.

Just like any PHPbb forums have (or similar)

Would be nice. I think that has been asked for many times before, and still not done.

Another would be a preview, before posting.

Unfortunately, Valve doesn't seem in too much of a hurry to update the discussions.

The buttons, at least for SOME formatting, are present in the editor for guides. So, let's chalk it up to "someone cared a bit but then got distracted" or whatever.

Been asked since the dawn of the Steam discussions.
Worst part of it is we already have one on the guides section, which probably could be ported to the discussions.
