There is a ton of content due the community, Please check out the fan made maps. I agree the Devs kinda slept this game but it holds it value due to mods.

But you get a butt load of modded functional maps and content that most likely would have never amounted to the content the devs would have added, Worth every cent to me.

In topic Writing a review
I honestly hate steams review system and it drowns games with potential, I have seen some good newly launched multiplayer games not reach a playable player count within 24hrs so it gets reviewed bombed and labeled as dead which scares buyers and puts a game in mixed and negative on its first week, Also the denuvo review bomb is very popular even though i have never once had a performance issue with it but its kids that seem to cry or join the negative review party about it, I enjoy the freedom of speech in reviews but some users need to be moderated.

Someone said something about offline hours not being tracked but its the same B.S reviews in online only games when .5 hour players review a game harshly and off topic, Steam is no different than yelp reviewers complaining and i am getting fed up with non marketed good online games dying because steam users cry about useless crap that could be patched overtime or playercounts, Use the community forum for bogus rants and write a proper review.

In topic Refund game time increase
1 hour seems fair for a single player game but in some cases a decent pricey EA multiplayer only game will never reach a stable player count to even play frequently and in some cases you start to accept you just wasted your money after your 2 hours are up with each match having a 30min+ queuing time draining your clock, I think a fresh launched multiplayer only game should at least extend to 4hrs to counter long queuing times, Fractured lands was my last mistake since i extended past 2 hours with only 3 matches so i never got the chance to use my refund window wisely or consider the playercount on a newly launched game i expected to grow during the B.R phase.

Fps dips to 30fps and freezes for a moment at the start of the sliding animation, I use C which is over voice chat.

In topic Save this game
Well if the game wont grow than at least we get our moneys worth with bots and it also might keep current owners from playing it often or installing it since they can play matches and i am not against playing bots as long as there is some real players on, I wont even lie when i say i dont even try to play it anymore, If the game does ever grow than at least they will have a training mode with these bots.

Such a great game just not marketed well or even discounted well after the initial bad reviews after launch, No new visitors or wish listers are willing to fork up $24.99 for player count game with low players and no bots.

They currently already support Epics 5% UE4 cut so i guess they should have went with unity, Not to come off as rude but this game is old so i do not expect it to improve any further unless there is reason to make it competitive or engaging for growth which currently is not happening on steam, I always see the player count rise over a sale and than immediately drop which only sucks since this game is very fun but there is always some raging issue about it that i can easily see why some leave it, I am not pro Epic but they do have paying customers.

Nobody wants it to be on that garbage platform that collects and distributes private information and the best they can say is "sorry" yeah no thanks, epic can jump off a cliff

Nobody is subjective and why would current owners even care on steam about what platform it is on, Plenty of V-buck players would possibly fork up $4.99 for this game at there own risk, If you have a issue with privacy than just throw your cell phone away and never browse the internet again.

Its a old game that manages to collect players during sales and has a rise and fall player count, The player count is not really important since you can have fun with up to 4 players and this includes randoms or friends.

I just checked but you can join a 60 ping server since the player count is up but normally when the player count dips after a while your stuck with 200ping servers which is not worth playing but this is why the community wants bots for the dead space after the player count dips, Also you could Just make 4-8 random friends in your region and play whenever you want and not rely on player counts.

Its cheap and worth playing and it always has sales to boost player count.

In topic Worth buying?
You get a big open restricted map with tons of small locations that have objectives and mostly missions that require you to travel long distances to collect or destroy something. Car physics need patched which i assume is on the Developers to do list and yes you can Race, The abilities and Gunplay is what saves this game and the player movement seems parkour with mantles and double jumps, If you dont mind that there are more side missions than story than i would say its Worth the current price.

I think it Lacks exploration and the map is too big for what very little you can do besides drive around looking at mountains, Not the best interactive open world game but not the worst.

Denuvo review bomb, Also did not help that the vehicle physics are trash which pretty much means destroying convoys and racing are not fun at the moment but doable until that patch comes, Pretty sure others are just waiting for patches that fix personal issues, Plus its hard for visitors to want this game after going mixed on launch day, I am currently loving the game and do not regret buying it.

Rage 1 was a great game for its time but i believe most of us expected a true Mad Max and Rage hybrid from avalanche and I.d. but they did poor job on vehicles but a great job on the Shooting.

In topic Open World Games Not Very Open
I expected large open lane shooter with mostly pit stop locations which was fun for me, What i did not expect was poor vehicle combat, physics and absolutely no on-road danger beside convoys or dumb Ai's standing in the roads which is sad since avalanche did such a good job on mad max's vehicle combat and Vehicle Ai's, The shooting is fun but the point A to B driving is such a chore without the danger or ramps with gaps.

In topic Pretty Empty Openworld
Subjective but the map is huge with tons of scattered small pit stop locations to conquer with 5 trade town locations, I do hate how there is nothing keeping you entertained like ramps and gaps on such big narrow road map.

In topic Personal Thoughts on Rage 2
If they would get rid of Press and Hold functions to enter vehicles and create more dangerous interactions on the road and make the Gps system turn red when i am off track and make driving vehicles actually fun than i would consider this to be a good game, By the time they actually fix the game i would have already beat it and the replay value seems to suck in my opinion.
Not sure if open world is to blame, Avalanche did a fantastic job on Mad Max vehicle combat and npc drivers and combat, This game feels like a bunch mindless Doom Ai's with aimbot scattered across a map that is already too linear to begin with, Was worth the refund.

Besides the map can you explain how the vehicle combat is compared to Mad max, Is it repetitive fun going up against vehicles only or boring ?
