Random Game Selector?
Hello my lovlies!

Ever have that time when you maybe have 5+ games and don't know which one to choose? Well this could help!

What I'm thinking is having a 'Random' button at the bottom of the library next to the +Add Game (or whatever it says) and you could have it set to loading that game right up or telling you the choice.

Maybe set the generator to a couple modes:
-Random
-Most popular
-Most played this(week,day,moth, etc)
-Least played
-Least played by you

These are just some ideas I thought of right now when decided what game to play.

See ya!

Until, if ever: google "steam random game picker", there are a ton of those on the net that do just that. Beware of the ones that try to make you install stuff.

Hmm, well it was worth the shot right? I never thought to look it up. Usually I just ask people around the house though. It would be useful maybe to have it in Steam safely already I'd think.

big picture mode gives you some suggestions on what to play based on several conditions, including not played yet. start a random game will probably never happen, since this would be unprofessional design.

Right. Didn't think of that.

Absolutely! And I fully support it. I'm just giving you and others an alternate way to get that feature today.

@OP I quite like the idea. Of course you can simulate it with, say, paradise.*

Another possibility that already exists is to have Steam choose what I play by looking at my 'BADGES' page, scrolling down until I see a green 'PLAY' button** and hitting it.

* pair of dice
** the button appears on games I can still 'earn' trading cards from
