I don't use QR codes

Yeah so now I can't do some of the things on this app.

I was already looking to downgrade in phones and make a raspberry pi phone with no camera, for privacy

In the future, do we need to scan our private parts to access the Steam marketplace?

You don't need to use the QR scanner. You can switch to Guard Codes.

I have never used a QR Code in my life but I already quit Trading on Steam when they wanted me to give them a S.m.a.r.t Phone (Dumb phone). Doesn't surprise me . Slippery slope is not a fallacy it's a observation based on patterns and motive.

I only used trading to give my friends card drops which now rot in my inventory forever.

you dont have to scan qr codes to log in. its not necessary. you can simply log in with a username/passwrod and get the push confirmation to your phone. You act like Qr codes are the ONLY way to log in.

QR code logins are a convenience, not a requirement.

You can still trade without the Steam Guard mobile authenticator. You just enable Steam Guard via email. I've made several trades with users that don't use it. You have to deal with trades being on hold but it's a minor inconvenience, especially if you're only just trading unused cards to friends once in a while.

And again, the QR code isn't mandatory.

I've never seen them as a convenience lol. I get that maybe for some people where they just do qr codes out if habit now but for me it is a hassle and I hope it's never the only option.

QR codes are only used to login into an account, and they are optional.
They are completely irrelevant when it comes to list items on the marketplace, or trading items between accounts.

I have Steam Guard with email and I have had this forever. When I trade regular card drops to other Steam users I have to wait 15 days. So yes I can trade but I'm limited in doing so despite having shown that I'm good faith consumer here on Steam and all the money I spent here .

Haven't been buying much at all for the last 5 or so years because I look to Gog first now. I did that because of the new Steam launcher and other thing. I buy just enough so my account is not limited so I can engage if I want in the community.

the repeated purchase of any amount is just for access to the community market.
