Offline filter

Currently most single player games require internet to start the game.
GTA 5, RDR2 , NFS Heat , etc etc.
They can be played offline but only after their launcher connects to the internet and verify you.
Been in some situations where i had no internet for 2 days.
Couldn't play anything basically.
This upssets me a lot.
Can't play single player games that I have payed for because of internet or cause of launchers or stuff like that.

Need to have a OFFLINE filter that shows games that CAN BE PLAYED entirely offline from start to finish (even if they have multiplayer too)

Contact the game developers. Steam has NOTHING to do with that. The game devs designed it like that, so they are the ones to talk to.

Do these rely on another launcher?

There generally are labels on games that require another launcher.

The DRM on some games is particularly problematic, far more so that the DRM Steam carries.

I guess Valve could force them to disclose how long their games stay playable for when left offline.

I've been go through the discussions about this for a bit. My guess is any untrustworthy game dev could use this tag untruthfully. Seems sketchy devs forget if we don't have enough money to be online we aren't about to spend it on some sketchy game.

avoid games that ask you for throwing (non-discounted) 30+ bucks at them and this problem is really unlikely to exist.

Contact the game developers. Some games may support offline mode as long as you launch at least once online so the game's DRM can be paired with Steam's DRM. This is actually documented in Steam's offline mode instructions.
