Average play time stat for reviews for all games.
Something I often find myself doing looking for new games to get is scrolling through reviews to see the average play time. It would be nice to see the average play time of positive reviews. Filters out negitive because of hardware issues ect. I think it would be useful stat to add next to the actual review ratio.

So you basically don't want to see negative reviews. There's already a filter for that.

No I want to see an average play time of people who actually play the game.

if thats just it, you can already filter for any amount of playtime of what YOU would consider "actually play the game".

Play time at the moment is very misleading and should be taken with a grain of salt. The reason for this is that Steam only records play time if you play online. For example, the only games in my library that indicates vaguely accurate play time is multiplayer games that I play online only, the rest of my games shows play times of under an hour, even though I played many of them for many hours more.

This is also the reason I never review games. People take Steam's play time way too seriously so, I cannot post a detailed review of hundreds of hours of experience with a game if Steam says I only played for 0.2 hours.

This is something Valve should really look into.

Hell no. If I make up my mind about a game in a negative way within 10 minutes it's a VALID viewpoint. If you don't wish to see it fine but all your suggestions would do is mean those that enjoy the game, maybe overlook some negatives in the process, get to review a game. Therefore 99.99% of reviews would be positive.

I've tested prototype vehicles before and had the Manufacturers change things I noted without ever driving the vehicle. Sure I drove the vehicle besides the stuff I noted before as that was part of my job but that doesn't affect my comments about the vehicle before I even sat it. If they ignored criticism before others and myself had driven for a specific length of time still wouldn't change the issues noted within first 10 minutes.
