Steam Deck Logo
Just saw the logo for the "Steam Deck". I don't like it. To me the right branding for the product would be the Steam logo. I'm already familiar with it, instantly recognize it, like it, etc. This Deck logo is just weirdly plain and "cheap" looking.

Am curious about others' impressions.

Each device has its own logo. Steam is the interface, not the device it is used on.
You didn't see the Index logo?

It's unlikely going to change at this stage. The Deck is released along with all of its branding including the trademarked logo. If they were to change it, it would make more sense to do much earlier in the process of releasing the product, especially just to appease those that don't like it.

It's a bit late for such a suggestion as it is already in production for quite a while and already shipping.

It's impossible to please everyone.

Some say the Deck is too big. Others say it's too small and they should have made the case bigger to fit a bigger SSD, or they should have made the screen bigger.

Some complain that it will probably get too hot, but they still think it should also have the TDP of a 3080 and be able to run games at 4K.

Some say it's too cheap so they're skeptical it will be any good. Others say it's too expensive and they think Valve is "price gouging".

Some think the logo and overall UI design language is great. Others hate it. Others are indifferent.

Personally, I like it.

If the deck had the same logo as Steam it be really confusing with Steam Machine back in the day and Steam Controller and Big Picture and Steam it self
Its better I think it has its own

I disagree. All Apple products have the same Apple logo on them and it results in instant brand recognition, regardless if it's a phone, a laptop or other device. If I was walking down an aisle in an electronics store and saw only the current Steam deck logo or Valve Index logo on a box or banner, I wouldn't take notice. If I saw the Steam logo, I'd take notice. I'm already conditioned to recognize it, as should, what, over 100 million people who use Steam Store app? Doesn't make sense to rebuild brand awareness from the ground up when you already have that kind of existing brand awareness.

The still have Valve's name on the product. That's the brand. Surely you can recognize Valve's logo.

Again, not sure what your expecting, the units are already made and being delivered. They aren't going to re-make every case with a different logo.

Nothing wrong with each product having a different logo.

It has Valve's name on it.

Doesn't really matter at all since you can't buy it in stores, ONLY from Steam's site........ No issues at all with marketing

Putting aside you weird taste in pfp pictures, do you suggest a new logo? Because criticizing without a solution doesn't get anywhere. As for me, It's alright, does what it's suppose to do.

I like it. It feels sensual and I plan on doing a lot of sexy things with the deck.

Got it, so your just complaining about the logo because you personally don't like it, without an actual suggestion to fix it in any way that is remotely feasible
