We really need an option to delete inventory items
I'm not just talking about the sales stickers, but sometimes I receive unsollicited 'gifts' from games I'll never play and they are impossible to sell.
For the last 3 years I've been trying to sell two swords that I got from the game 'trove' even though I have this game hidden in my preferences.
This is really really really REALLY annoying

It has been proven time and time again that allowing users to delete anything is a bad idea for many reasons. I hope that they won't allow users to delete inventory items but allow them to hide them like video games in one's library.

I hope they keep the non-removable items so we get more threads of people crying because they don't read the FAQ on those events.

Before Winter Sale starts, I suggest to everyone ask Valve not to add non-tradable items for this event.

Or at the same time add function to remove them.

Or let us market and trade them like years past.

Let them add at least the hiding of non-tradable items. And after six months (or one year), these items will be automatically deleted if the user has not restored them.

This option will suit everyone, I think.

Yes, agreed.

I would also recommend anyone who is interested in getting new badges by participating in future Valve mini-games (like "Choose Your Own Adventure" was) to check for a guide on the internet first...

Just in case there might be more non-removable items (let's hope there aren't!), at least you can avoid getting those you don't like or avoid getting them at all. At least that's what I'm going to do from now on...

Haven't participated in Valves sale events for well over a year and have no intention of doing so whilst I may get untradeable, unmarketable or unconvertable to gems rubbish.

Which is why I always suggest a hide or move to a JUNK category. Could even have it work like the permanently delete game that is nothing more than an advance hide like you said.......also suggested that myself too

Yup, I can go along with this.

As Blueberry Poptart rightly points out - a definitive removal or deltion is NOT a good idea, not just because the people who bang on about that are the same people who change their mind and want stuff back next minute, but fraud happens. Imagine how a scammer would treat your account if this were a thing. Bye bye inventory.

Even better, if Valve did things correctly, they should make such untradeable time limited items merely time out and disappear from the account automatically.
Yes please, no more garbage in our inventories
Throwing in agreement to this one.
If the item in your inventory effects the base game, label it as "not removable" otherwise those "not marketable and not tradable" items should be able to be deleted or at least hidden.
Yes. Please add a way for users to remove this trash.

As a recent example the steam event did not have previews for what you were "winning" and seems to have been a way to spam someones bad art permanently into peoples accounts.

I do not want to see these, and I do not want them cluttering the list of things used for chat.

Why I have stopped doing event stuff. Don't even bother with the discovery queue to get trading cards

I still can't get used to seeing those stickers, despite having them in my inventory for a number of months. They look disgusting. I don't understand why we don't even have the option of turning them into gems.

Makes me quite hesitant to participate in future sale mini-games.
I can take or leave such stuff myself. I'm easy going.

Although there is one small issue that does irk me and that is the fact that all inventory stuff is bunged in one long list. SO if you want to get to a card that is at the end of the alphabet you've got to click through pages and pages of stuff (assuming you have a fair number of games).

I would love it if they could portion up stickers and other stuff accordingly like they have done in the tabs for different games on that page.
