Integration with Spotify on Steam
It's past time for the Steam panel to have an integration with Spotify for those who want to listen to music while playing

Why? There are many other services that could be added instead, why not add one of them instead?

Dedicating it to a specific service will just cause others who want their service to get angry. Best not to tie any such service to the Steam service. All of them have their own programs that can be used.

Nobody wants another service, they just want to use yours. PS4 works great

is a natural evolution of the music player that nobody uses

No. Not every service needs to do the same exact thing as others. We don't need to integrate everything with everything, services being separate from each other is a good thing.

Adding another platform onto the licensing of the music would be an expensive venture. Not including the system resources and bloat that a lot of users don't want.

Users don't care, we just want what suits us best. With future developments everything adapts

Tell that to the users who want the old library back.

You still haven't touched on the licensing issue.

I didn't say to remove the player, just add a plugin to integrate services.

The PS4 is meant as an entertainment center.
Steam is a store and game launcher.

PS4 doesn't have the inherent ability to run multiple applications at the same time.
A PC does.

Just use a desktop application or your webbrowser. There is no reason at all to add even more bloat to Steam.

Also, why Spotify? Why not Last.fm? Why not Audible? Or YouTube Music? Deezer, Soundcloud, ...

This again....

Short version, no.

Long version, use the search feature to read why not as has been said MANY times.

So no one may want to use Amazon Music or I heart Radio instead of Spotify? Highly unlikely that people only wan to use Spotify.

Like I said, why should Steam tie it's self to Spotify when there are many other such services out there? It would only make users of those other services mad that their service isn't integrated into Steam. May as well just not integrate any.

Steam has a web browser in it. You could just use the web version of Spotify.

Seems like Epic took to the suggestion first, in a way...
