Fix your garbage video buffering

You're like a multi-million dollar corporation right? How come video buffering is slower than youtube 20 years ago? This has been a problem from day one, what does it really take to fix this? What are you unwilling to pay to resolve this? This and the hundreds of stupid issues your client has. Not even just in the client, using a browser on steam site doesn't even help. Trying to revamp chat right now and failing as well... get your priorities straight.

Wanna know why I haven't bought any games in a while? Your client is crap and you show no inclination of fixing ANY of the problems. If I can't watch a video on what the game is about, what makes you think I'm going to buy it? What kind of marketing is that? Are you run by a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? WTF

Are you hosting, or watching?
Are you sure it's 100Mbps down and *something else* up for your plan?
How many devices do you have going at the same time using your modem/router?
How you done a speed test, and is your ping high? http://www.speedtest.net/
Have you try out the Steam Beta instead?

I'm a cryptographer I understand how this stuff works...
I get speeds over 100 up/down with less than 10ms ping almost every time I use ookla and I'm home alone right now (its just me and my wife) and I am currently opted into beta

I didn't say anything about hosting, as I posted I'm just trying to watch the trailers on the game pages

Alright, well ATM some parts of the server having an issue for Steam. But I can't confirm, if this will affect watching Streams over Steam. So give it a bit of time, and try again, you can try using the Broswer instead, or the client again.

I personally have no issues with videos on the store page, however, if I try to a watch a youtube video inside the client (for example a video linked in a page like this thread), 9 times out of 10, it will freeze the client and I have to kill steamwebhelper.exe before it works.

Also, if I go on a store page that has a stream in it, same thing, client will very likely freeze. And there's nowhere to disable that stream crap.

i have the same problem watching videos in fullscreen. steam client or steam web site on any browser same issue occurs.
i have 9ms ping, 75MBp Download 4MBps upload speed (speedtest.net).
i have nothing running in background, even disabled antivirus and tried again.
i have i7 4770k, 16gb ram, msi radeon 570x 8 gb / 256bit graphics card.
i don't have any problem other video web sites in full hd 50 hz (youtube, dailymotion, etc)

but when i am on steam, i can't watch any game trailers and videos in fullscreen mode without buffer/play problems.

i tried all things in the troubleshooter section in steam and created several tickets on help desk. (and cookies, cache things, reinstalls, etc) and steamstats are okay too.

i just don't understand why some of us have this issue, while others don't have.

Not everyone affected at the same time, also there's many path ways to each servers as well.

ATM I see servers underload, and not 100% sure on what else going on, there may be a possible issue leading to their server from your path, again, not 100% sure on this.

it's not about sale. i never watched a trailer in fullscreen on steam ever. this is the issue. and i've found out this is an issue from 2013 to nowadays. and some of us still couldn't find a solution. i think it's more important thing than necroing or dumping somethings
