They are on sale, that's why they are on the store page. Even if you ignore them.
you wanna argue that EA games are not profitable?
EA aren't getting any special treatment you are simply learning that one small chunk of the store isn't personalised for your account.
Besides EA have been absent from Steam for nearly 9 years so naturally both EA and Valve would want to advertise they are back to everyone so people will buy their games on here again.
Like every store, physical and digital they advertise promotions, bargains, sales etc.
Whether you want EA games does not remove that others do.
Also even if that were the truth that wouldn't change anything. Especially when you consider that many people already have quite a few of the games on origin.
Or did you think that your opinion is the general one?
Provide concrete evidence with financial statements, please. Otherwise don't talk out of your arse.
random EA garbage:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1238860/Battlefield_4/
that crappy old dead mp game has 350 reviews in less than a week.
considering many just bought them for their collection, that were probably 5k-10k sold units to generate that amount of review traffic.
that is any indies wet dream on Steam and EA generates these numbers with their old attic garbage.
if it sells, it gets promoted - or to use Valve terminology - surfaced.
but feel free to explain to me, what a partner on Steam can do or not do. that will be fun.
Huh?

BS.
Their games have been constantly on the Steam topseller charts since they came back.
They sell like hotcakes at the moment, as you also can see with the amount of reviews the games are getting.
Its ok if you dont like EA games but dont make up random crap to justify your dislike.
Shown where?. Cite your sources. Direct from EA would be great.
Also there's lots of collectors who are missing parts of sagas in their libraries and are now filling up the empty spaces.

I can see both Battlefront 2 and Battlefield 5 in the top #15 sellers on sale.
Facts? In my Steam Discussions?....
Now seriously Steam has been balancing the storefront giving balanced visibility to both AAA titles and Indie ones for more than a decade. Of course in the event of a big franchise coming back to Steam (Anyone remember HALO release?) or a big release they're going to be featured in the front page, but even right now the non AAA titles outnumber the EA ones in the front page.
