Please add option to remove "3rd Party DRM"-Games from discovery queue
I will not buy anything requiring "EA on-line activation and Origin client software".

Every time you show me another new EA-Title, you've wasted your bandwidth, my time and the opportunity to show me a title with a chance I'd buy. Perhaps the chance is not great, but even a tiny chance is better, than what I do when I see EA's DRM.

The same goes pretty much for UPlay.

So please, Valve, do yourself a favor and give me the option to hide it.

if it is too hard to ignore them, then stop using the steam store. use third party sites to browse for games you want then if you insist on buying those games on steam then you can look those up in the steam store.

Obviously I like to use the steam store, otherwise I would simply leave, without posting a suggestion.

then learn how to ignore the apps you don't want to look at, either by going to the publisher page and ignore the publisher and/or looking up all EA's apps in a search and ignore the apps one by one.

you are most likely not going to see a 3rd party drm exclusion since valves biggest publishers seems to have their own drms attached and it would not benefit either party.

If you want to remove 3rd party DRM, you will not get any games displayed. From the publishers and games PoV it's Steam that is the 3rd party DRM.

I ignored the publisher already and it keeps popping up.

I was under the impression myself that ignoring publishers did not work like that either. however reading another users response on a similar matter, which claimed they did not see the apps being shown in the steam store after they ignored the publisher. i suggested that.

which then leads to you having to look up all their appids and ignore them one by one.

here is a link to that topic:

or perhaps you are you browsing the store and your ignore filters are not being applied, i don't know.

Well, then I'll go through their catalog and ignore everything one by one of what they have to offer. Maybe the store will understand this broad hint.

I can't find a tag for 3rd Party DRM.

does not exist and will not exist.

use your mental ignore.
or ignore EA, Ubisoft, Paradox, Rockstar and you have most of the games with 3rd party DRM that cost money.

Steam didn't get it. I Ignored EA, ignored all the games I could find and what's in the discovery queue? The two games I missed. I guess at least I'm save now, until they have "new" releases.

If rumors is true the next batch to realese is the 18'th this month. So new ones then to ignore.

Interestingly the two newest titles from EA don't require Origin, C&C Remastered and now Star Wars: Squadrons. If I were to guess it's because C&C wanted to incorporate the Workshop and Squadrons has VR. I would also assume that most of their previous games have functions tied directly to Origin services, so it's probably not trivial to remove it as a requirement at this point.

I am curious if they will continue to release games that don't require Origin since they can be developed with Steam in mind. I do think it's awesome C&C Remastered doesn't require Origin though and absolutely plan to pick it up at some point.

edit:
Apex Legends and Rocket Arena are now listed as coming soon and they also don't have Origin listed as a requirement.
