On-screen Privacy with steam-overlay while on twitch

Hi, i experienced a bit of tinyly unsafe quick shift-tab while streaming on Twitch and well... I'd like certain things to be hiden from steam overlay and ingame browser for workshop and forums. Personal display name is okay, mine is nightmaredream,com... But private name should stay hidden from steam overlay... Because it's useful even on stream, unless you display stuff that you prefer to keep confidential. Also, i would like friend list to be hiden or to have the ability to manage what modules to dispay on overlay or not.
A funny feature i would really appreciate about friend list would be to use a random name generator to replace whatever $tag[username] or i don't know how it's scripted at all but have a feature that when it's turned on, instead of hiding chat and friend list, it would replace every names by imaginary names. Would be fun and even more on stream. Like, Iron Gnome. Melting Sun. Surfing Pumpkin, Mustached Lumber... Whatever :P Totally random. I bet it would be easy to do, and it would enforce privacy while keeping chat visible. But mainly, being able to hide username from twitch overlay, hide friends list and hide username from overlay's browser would be very secure for a streamer. Right now i have overlay turned off, it's quite different :3 I use stream itself to access forum, tho, there are some windows that can be detached but i'm unsure that the forums window itself can be detached. I haven't found traces of steam browser outside of steam overlay. But even tho it exists... Or not... It still would be very secure to show username only on request otherwise, hide it, replace it, or show "your profile" instead of "username" :3

May be nice, but why not get a streaming software that dose not grab the overlay at all?

if thats not good for now i think you can use a skin to hide things

I never heard about skins, ima check into that but that doesn'T resolve that names are visible in chat and many other places.

The ones in chat is not your account name and can be changed at any time.

tho i deactivated overlay like i first said but it's sad because it's very useful, a certain way to hide that info would be useful

Well i do think you have better answer to just use streaming software that dose not see the overlay, i assume you have no reason to show it anyway to who watchs no?

yeah well, obs is all right, and tho, if i browse for example the steam workshop for a game or another and want to show the browsed items without my non-custom account name being displayed, there might be issues.

I don't like answers like "why don't you just this" or "that" and similar laze-outs. Like, this doesn't resolve anything at all. I never said i don't want to display my overlay, it's great to, what i want to is to hide friendlist or give fictive names and to hide my kind-a secret account name and display my "custom one" instead.

Like, if you don't like the topic or think it doesn't count for you, leave it to people who may also care the way i care.

I am suggesting what you can do for now, till maybe they do it, as even if they are going to do it, if we follow how they work so far, it will take time

I honestly will be fine if it will be there, be good for making videos, but i will look for what can be done for now, so you don't have an issue till that is done

Oh ok well i've been fine about hiding info by disabling it which i can deal with for the moment. Just that i eventually want to re-use that function with future updates :P
