Openbucks on Steam would be cool

Idk the details of the arrangement but it could be a good idea to at least look into it.
For example I have a useless subway gift card which I will never use even if im starving. I would LOVE to give this to steam, minus w.e fees entail, for literally anything else. I assume steam redeems them with Openbucks for real money, but again I don't know those details.

It seems like there are thousands of companies that use the service so I would be surprised if you liked all of them, but again that doesn't make much sense to hate everything remotely connected to it. Maybe i'm missing something tho.

Gift card trade in companies are all over run with people using stolen money to buy the cards and trading them in for other ones. And using proceeds from drug running and illegal gun sales to move money through the system. That is why the business model will always favor the criminal organizations.

I doubt Valve would want to go down with them.

Common sense kinda leans towards no. The amount of cash your proposing would be extreme and this system just couldn't support something like that effectively. Can you even imagine how tidious that would be let alone all the red flags you would throw up. It's also risky.
