PETITION: Ban Check box style review formats
We need to ban reviews using formats like these, or at least report them for spam, or kill them with fire. Its spreading like a disease, every game on steam has at least 1 review in this format and if we do nothing they will soon take over the actually useful reviews.

===[ Graphics ]===
☐ Decent
☑ Just like the pics on the store page
☐ Average
☐ Good
☐ Quite good

Its the most cancerous and worthless type of review on steam and should be reported as spam. These dumbed down reviews were made for illiterate people and dont belong on steam. Most of the time you dont even get any information beyond these silly check box criterias and these reviews end up on the most useful spots. These idiots often rate things like the graphics which is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ considering that everyone can judge by himself from the store page pics.

With other reviews you can read the first few sentences to check if its worth expanding the text but with these all you see is 1 single aspect, often being about the target audience for the game (i.e. Everyone/Mature/Casual/etc...)

I wish cancer to anyone who writes his reviews in this format. Seriously whos the ♥♥♥♥ing dumbass that started this trend?

That way you don't see the reviews and all the meme edgelords still get their fix.

Err.. So you want to ban a style you don't particularly like, without considering that many others do like them. Not me mind you but many others do. In fact there are many threads that have been asking that the format be formalized as the proper steam review format.

Would rather have a petition to ban toxic people from the community

"Reviews" are nothing but personal oppinions and as such they are not up for discussion.
Don't find a "review" helpfull, you can vote it down, and if it breaks the rules, you can report it, and let the moderators handle it.

Nothing to fix or add, it works as it should.

Ignore them if you do not like them.

That's at least the third thread about this. And I have *never* seen a review like this.

Vote unhelpful and ignore it. Many people like formats with "on the glance" information because reading is hard. That's the whole reason we have scores and ratings.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I hate those too but I don't support banning them, I just tick not helpful every time I see that.

I've seen a couple, but they are rare but I never found them to be obtrusive. It's just a different way of presenting information.

So you nerds think im toxic because I get upset when I check up a game's reviews to read some criticism the first thing I see is a check box list describing the graphics of the game that I can already see in the store page?

Actually I think they think you are toxic because you call people names, missuses the word cancerous, wish cancer on people, and because you just have to BAN something you don't like because HOW DARE IT EXIST!

Protip, they are right. Wishing for people to get a horrible illness is by definition toxic.

You little ignorants are unaware that this whole thing is hurting a lot more than your narrow minds can concieve.

The dumbing down of replies is giving cancer to everyone reading it and its toxic af. Its causing a decline in cognitive functions over time and it contributes to build an illiterate community. It makes both the writer and the readers dumber over time and decreases the already low quality of steam reviews.

People will stop caring about writing or reading criticism and cause steam to be even worse than it already is.

P.S: Anyone getting offended by this is a worthless little virgin snowflake
