Upload photos on Mobile

It’d be nice to change your account pfp on the Steam App. I’ve got a lot of sh*tposts on my phone that’d be good as a pfp, and for people like me who do frequent pfp changes and use the steam app, it’d be a nice Quality of Life improvement.

Android, it should not work differently on ios. both use their webview and you see the same website as you would on any browser.

I wouldn't make the suggestion if it was already a feature for iOS, when you hit choose file in your profile edit page nothing happens, but I'll edit the title to something more specific than "mobile" if android already has this.
Edit: it DOES work on the mobile website but not the app
also for android does it work on the app, or just the website as well?

ok I just tested it and it doesn’t work anymore. I click the button to do it and it doesn’t do anything. new update maybe?

Wouldn't be surprised if it broke when iOS 11 came out - after all, it's been close to two years since the Steam app was updated. I still have an iPhone 4S that just about works and it's stuck on iOS 10 so I might do a little tinkering later to see if my hunch is correct.

Oops, turns out it's actually running iOS 9.3.5 and that button still doesn't work. Looks like it's probably been broken for nearly two years. I think we can safely assume that it isn't going to get fixed any time soon.

Forgive me both my overwhelming cynicism towards Valve and my precise and pedantic use of language, but that says that they're launching two new apps rather than rolling everything into the current one. It should mean that the current app will get an update to link it to the other two as that's a common sense approach... but this is Valve that we're talking about and their design decisions aren't always what you might desire or even expect.

Probably shouldn't spam. Also it would be wise to inform yourself as to why the ios version of the app hasn't been updated, prior to posting to prevent you from looking misinformed.
