Secondly. It's a rather short sighted approach on the consumer part.
Especially since developers can create nnew pseudonyms as easily as any writer or musician.
I don't care if it's short sighted, i want Sega and some developers to know how unhappy i am with their products right now, it's a way to show them you are not happy with their products anymore, the review system is suppose to cover this but even when a game is completely overwhelmed full of bugs on release reviews get bombed by fanboys, the only other way which i'd rather not but thinking of doing is the naughty P word especially with Sega products right now, so instead of going that route i'd rather have something that shows them directly.
And what makes you think they'd know? Basically you'd just be one of millions not buying their product and for that to make any difference you'd have to somehow prove that you'd have bought the product anyway.
Also SEGA can spin off a dozen develoipment studios in the space of a day so that wouldn't stop them either.
Your suggestion is essentially the equivalent to cutting one's nose to teach your face a lesson. Just don't buy any sega games.
bollocks, if they didnt care so much we would have programs installed in latest games to prevent it, id rather a blacklist system that shows exactly how many people choose to put devs or publishers on a blacklist so they don't show up on steam.
Even mentioning piracy on the forums is not recommended.
Write them an email or an old fashioned letter to let them know how you feel.
i tried to avoid it so this was my suggestion instead of doing the other thing.
No it doesn't, if im unhappy with their product the not interested button doesn't do ♥♥♥♥ to make me less frustrated with them.
Then that is a personal issue that can not be resolved on Steam.
And such a system won't exist since it would serve no purpose. Devs could circumvent it by simply operating under a different name. Or they would just count you as someone who was never going to be interested anyway.
But you lack the actual testicular fortitude to do something so direct as write an email?
That basically just makes you a whinny little passive aggressive ♥♥♥♥♥. You know, the kind of person no one takes seriously.
If op wanted to show sega that she is unhappy with them, she would simply not buy their products.
