Auto Start a Game on Steam Startup
Is this currently possible? If not, why not. Was looking for the option for auto starting a game with daily log in rewards.

You can't take the 2 to 4 seconds to double click on the game to start it? Seriously do you need steam to save you those few seconds????

This is not a feature we need to save people a couple of seconds.

You can even script up a command to run a game for you. Just have it trigger a couple of minutes after PC startup.

It's not about 2 seconds, it's about login rewards, I don't always jump onto steam for 1 game. If I'm jumping onto killing floor 2 with some friends, ill forget, "oh i should open smite and get the rewards". Call me forgetful, but it'd be a nice feature, not just for why I'm asking for it too.

If your currently on a kick of 1 game, why not have it open the moment you open steam. <- again since clearly reading is hard for some people, thats not why im asking for it.

PS- I know of/have multiple games with login rewards, keeping track and login into each individually is a pain, with a feature like this, i could add non-steam games and set them all open, never missing a login reward. yup horrible idea.

We don't need a feature like this sorry, there are ways for you to do this form writting your own script to do this, or by leaving a post it note on your screen. There is even a nice little widget (notepad) you can use that sits on your desktop you can leave a note to remind yourself to do.

You will get a shortcut on yout desktop for every game, you will install on the pc. e.g. If you will install Stardew Valley on your PC, then Steam will ask you (at the same page where you can choose your library folder), if you like to have a desktop shortcut and / or a startmenu shortcut.
If you choose one of them (or all two) of these checkbox you will find on the desktop or in your start menue.

-------------------
If you like to start a game directly at Windows log in:
Copy the game shortcut (e.g. Stardew Valley.url; .url is the extension), which is created from Steam, into the Start Up folder

To open the Start Up folder:
1.Press WIN+R to open the Run window
2. Type shell:startup into the text box
3. Click OK.

actually I have a use for this, I run a server with ACC, if my server restarts e.g. a windows update etc the server doesn't restart.
I'd like to autoload ACC Dedicated Server

Then put it on autostart in Windows.

Yeah this doesn't make sense as a STEAM feature. It's already possible via windows.

Simple:
1. Type Win+R
2. Paste this
shell:common startup
3. Paste your game shortcut to Startup folder
4. The end.

Bizzare:
1. Type Win+R
2. Paste this
shell:common startup
3. Make file game.bat in Startup folder
4. Paste this
@echo off
start steam://run/666
Where 666 is your game steamappid
5. The end.
