How do I record video in games for steam?

How can I record video through steam so it shows up in my profile?

You'd have to use a game video recorder such as Fraps or bandicam. Record the videos with that, upload them onto a youtube account that you have linked to your steam and add them. Profile > videos
May be complex but im pretty sure thats the only way.

and it is very hardware intensive. don't try to record on the same drive as you working on and more highend hardware are neccessary or it will end in an lagfest.

I've done it with TF2 and it showed up in the steam video library...I forgot how...lol
