I can't press shift+tab at all in dota 2!!

Help!! I don't know why but after the past few patches I've been unable the enter the overlay in game. As soon as i press shift+ tab once, my game freezes for a second and I cannot do it again anymore. This is extremely frustrating. Please help :(

Have you found a solution to this problem? I've also been been experiencing this.. additionally when I'm in-game shift doesn't work. My only solution is not to go in overlay so it won't cause problems..

Heyy. I changed the overlay to the Home button. It seems that as long as I don't press shift-tab It's fine o.o

I found out my problem. It was cause another application was using the same overlay button as well

Problem seems to be related to Windows OS in some way.
Try exiting game and steam...
Now press SHIFT key 5 times fast, if never done it before, you should be presented with a small window related to Sticky Keys, enter that config screen and turn Sticky Keys and Mouse Keys off.

sadly, i already turn off that sticky keys. already try all option, like ridicilous suggest from my friend to update vga driver.

Did u double check Steam > Settings > In-Game to ensure Steam Community is enabled.
As well as making sure it is not somehow turned off in DOTA2's properties.
As u can disable it for any game u wish, within a game's properties from Steam Library.

U can try turning off Windows Aero and then launch game and see if it works.
To disable Aero, open Task Manager, click Services, find Desktop Window Session Manager and Stop it. To re-enable Aero later on, simply Start this same service again.

find out my problem. my chat app using "♥♥♥♥+tab" to show/hide overlay, same as steam.
change it to "shift+A" in steam,works fine. but still get error while press "shift+tab"
so,i change "shift+tab" in my chat app into "shift+A" and default overlay for steam "shift+tab"

so,as long i dont press the overlay button which is set for other app, dota 2 will be fine.
consider to uninstall my app chat XD

Hey Everyone,

I had this same problem with a friend. We both use RaidCall and under its Advanced Settings, under Overlay, change the Overlay from Shift+Tab to something else (Like Shift+A) and you will be able to shift+tab in Dota.
