Is there really NO OTHER WAY to uninstall games in steam than this?? You MUST BE F*CKING KIDDING ME!!! I realize you DON`T want us to uninstall anything but this is just ridiculous.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is steams SIMPLE procedure.... jesus christ!!

You can manually remove Steam games from the Add/Remove Programs list using the following process:

Go to Start > Run
Type in: regedit.
Press Enter.
Browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\.
Each Steam game will be listed as Steam App <number>
You may determine the game which corresponds to the application number by clicking on the Steam App <number> in the left column and looking at the InstallLocation regkey for the name of the game.
When you have found the game you wish to remove from the Add/Remove Programs menu, delete the Steam App <number> directory for the game.
Refresh your Add/Remove Programs list.

1) Click on "Library" from within steam.
2) Right click on the game you want to remove
3) Select "Delete Local Content" (As stated above)
4) Enjoy not having that game

Or use the Add/Remove program feature in Windows.

Both will work.

What that is suggesting is for a program that you deleted but isn't removed form the Add/Remove Programs list. Not to remove the program from your computer.

Sure I have.. but if I uninstall it outside of Steam one of the subjects on the help page said that the game would still be listed... So why the craaaaap call it "delete local content" instead of *Uninstall*..........

It is simple, did you attempt or just decide to complain upon seeing the instructions? Also, for some you can just go to "Add/Remove Programs" and they are already there. Why would you not just delete local content for the game through steam? It removes everything except saves and some config files. Which are easily deleted afterwards.

Never had any problem with DOS before they forced WIN down my throat.. then the sons of b*tches switched XP with Vista... the "intuitive" sh*t really pissed me off... but now they`ve gone ahead and made the WIN 8 some kind of kindergarten bullsh*t with "METRO", no start button and removed the X - for close progs.. REEEETAAARDS AT MICROSOFT

An article about a free customizable start menu for windows 8 and links to 2 different start menus you can purchase if that will make your life easier. Maybe you should of researched windows 8 before letting someone sell it to you :P

The instructions you listed do not uninstall the game, they simply remove the game from appearing on the "Add/Remove programs" list (or the "Programs and Features" list, or whatever it's latest name is) in the control panel.

To uninstall a game, you can either right click and select "Delete local contents" in Steam, or you can Uninstall using the "Add/Remove Programs"/"Programs and Features" list. Of course, if you deleted the registry key then it will not show in the control panel and you will have to uninstall through the client.
