Okay can I take this back [A very displeased call of duty black ops 2 customer]
Okay here's the deal, I got call of duty black ops 2 for Christmas and was completely excited to start playing, well I don't know if this is activisions fault or steams and at this point I really don't care all I want to know is can I take the game back to Wal-Mart and get my money back I've contacted activision support and they said to contact the retailer I bought it from now here's the part I'm asking the question I put in the code and it installed the game but when I try to launch it just freezes up I've tried every means to get it to work but nothing has helped now reason I'm wondering since you don't technically even need the disc anymore on games to play in steam can I take it back or do I have to go through steam?

If you bought it from Walmart then you are subhect to their return policy. There policy is no returns on opened software. If it is a console game, they will exchange it for the same title.
Well Satoru my specs line up just fine with it, my computer actually exceeds the requirements

Please tell us your system specs anyway, please.
We may have a fix, or some information, regarding a piece of hardware you have that you did not know about.

You should really list your system specs regardless of them exceeding the requirements..
Update your video card drivers, which I'm sure you haven't done.
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel core i5-3210M CPU@ 2.50 GHZ, 2501 MHZ, 2 Core(s), 4 logical processor(s)
6.00 GB of RAM
Intel HD 4000 1984 MB video RAM
(and yes hashbrick my video card drivers are up to date -.-)
The only issue is I'm not the only one facing this issue over on the activision forums several 1000 people are reporting the same thing and the only thing activision has told any of us to do is use plug the computer directly into the internet -.- which mine is 24/7

"Fix for me anyways, hope it helps out others with a Intel HD 4000 graphics laptop.

from desktop right click graphic properties

advanced option

3D tab

Application Optimal Mode [ ] Check box. Check it.

Default it is unchecked.

Multiplayer loads fine now, plays fine.

I personally had to tweak some settings after getting in the game to get my FPS
up but that will vary depending on laptops obviously.

Long story short its playable now. Hope this helps some.

Got this idea from the GeForce laptops fix. The 3D settings tab in your graphics option. Max it out, turn it on, up it

from its current setting now matter what graphics card your running on your laptops be it Geforce/ATI/Intel. Might work."

Wish they said what the issue was, but I am guessing that it wasn't loading. Worth a try atleast.
Okay ill have to try that totoro thanks :D
oh Totoro looks like I already had it set to that

Intel HD 4000 isn't officially supported and, in fact, falls BELOW the system requirements for the game.
