Is there a limit on Steam Wallet?

Hello

I have just added fund to Steam Wallet as I am preparing for the upcoming Christmas Sale.

I added some money and then it said I have reached the limit of what the balance of your Steam Wallet can be.

I have searched the Steam Wallet section in Steam Support and read what they say and I can not find any mention of a limit??

This is not a big problem as I have sufficient money in there and after a week if I run out I can just add some more.

I'm just curious- what is the maximum you can put in your Steam Wallet??

Oh and is there a time limit - for example if you dont use the funds in your Steam Wallet in say 6 months does the money get wiped etc

I have searched but I couldn't find a clear answer , hoping someone here knows.

Your money won't be wipped unless your account is. And your account won't just disappear.. and for your limit question, just look at how much steam wallet you have, if you say you are at the limit.

I think it's something like $200, but I'm not sure.

Steam Wallet funds do not expire.

Bikeryboy AJC - that is what I did but I couldn't work out exact amount.. it's like a range between X and Y if that makes sense?

I don't want to put what I spend cause just in case it's a security risk , maybe I'm being too cautious.. but yea I have an idea of what the limit is.

FrazerJC - as long as there is a limit and others have experienced it then that's cool.. I just wanted to be certain it wasn't just me.

According to the Steam Community Market FAQ,

Currently we are restricting Steam Wallet balances to $200.

I thought it was like, the limit was $5, you buy something, and the limit increases to $10.
I've been reading, and so I'm not so sure.
I'm very cautious so, if I buy a $20 steam card, I will have $20 in my steam wallet?

$5 is the minimum amount you can add to your Steam wallet
Yes you will have $20 in your Steam wallet if you use a $20 Steam card.

Currently we are restricting Steam Wallet balances to $2000. In other currencies, the limit will be set to a value close to $2000. We also limit the maximum price of a single listing on the market to $1800 (or similar for other currencies).
