Internet works fine, but can't connect to any game servers
Hello, so as you can probably see I have a problem.
My internet is fine, i can search on google, youtube and stuff, but when I TRY TO PLAY ANY ONLINE GAMES LIKE (league of legends, cs 1.6) I just can't connect to any server even if the server is working (not off). When i connect i just time out and can't connect.
So what could be my problem?
Things i tried:
-Port forwarding. Photo: http://www.part.lt/perziura/88836e32131ac69d9fca389f9cca1c27300.png
-Restarting router, computer and everything
-Reinstalling everything
-Searching 1000000000 forums and find no solution
-Turning off firewalls/antivirus softwares

I started doing ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew and quickly join a server, that works SOMETIMES.

So what could be the problem? I don't get it.

Hey fellas, it may be too late to help you guys but it isnt too late to help others who have this problem.

- Scan your PC with Windows Defender
- Check for Windows Updates
- Reset Router / Modem
- Restart PC
- Rinse and repeat

» Open Network & Sharing
» Click Internet Options
» Click "Connection" tab
» Click LAN Settings
» Un-tick both Automatically Detect Settings or Use a Proxy Server for your LAN if it's already ticked

The only option worked for me was changing my ISP. First I tried it on my cellular network and I found out there was a problem with my ISP not my PC.

Ok so I have something that I think is the same, someone talked about a built in firewall, and that is not the case for me because I have used the same access points to access game servers multiple times, and then all of a sudden one day I couldn't connect. When I went on my xbox it would say I was connected to the internet when I did the internet connection test, but when I ran the multiplayer connection text it didn't work. We recently installed an ORBI mesh network, so if that is known to have any effect on that, then please tell me if you know, but I did access my internet from two different access points, so it is not solely the ORBI access point either which is what I originally though. I figure I might just get the cable guy to come out and take a look at it soon to see what they have to say about it and see if they have ever seen anything like this before, but something tells me the cable guy isn't gonna know anything, just like most of them. Anyway what im trying to say is that I have the same issue has everyone else on this forum, and I have multiple access points that were all previously used to access multiplayer servers, so it is definitely not a problem with the access point. Oh and it also is happening on multiple devices, my computer, my laptop, my xbox etc. so it is not some weird setting in one of my devices either.

Rule number one when troubleshooting :

Never rule anything out, until you eliminate it from the possibilities by process of elimination.

For example only, if using a router, bypass it and run ethernet to the modem and test again. We have seen some strange things in this forum that were the cause of the connection issue for some users.

For another example, a user was sure it was not his router because he was on just the day before without any problems. We went on to many pages of troubleshooting in his thread and finally talked him into bypassing the router. Boom. Instant connection.

Turns out, his roommate had jacked up the firewall on the router, and never told him about it.

So you never know what can be the cause of the issue really.

Not sure about ORBI, but a description of your network and network hardware maybe would be better.

Also, are you sure you have all Network adapter drivers fully up to date ?

What's the computer's model and model number/motherboard (if custom) ?

Some info on the computer also would maybe help, too. Including OS and is 32 or 64 bit.
