Attempting to download flash plugin from another browser downloads the version for that browser unless get flash for another machine is used. i.e. choose from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
In steamos a very similar situation occurs in that a 32 bit flash plugin for steam@steamos client can be easily placed in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ with the 64 bit version for desktop@steamos being placed in /home/desktop/.mozilla/plugins/
My point being it is browser plug in versions of flash that is needed.
Can anybody confirm the path to downloads for steam client in windows?
Can any body confirm path to where 32 bit libflashplayer.so needs placed in default steam install on windows?
Downloading and installing the ppapi flash version from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ is what stoppped steam from complaining and to start working as expected once again.
I can confirm that you need the "Windows 32-bit , English, Chrome" variant.
To be honest i do not know if this is a windows 10 build 10532, adobe flash or beta steam client issue!.
Whilst using FFox and flash installed. Because steam browser is chromium based you will need the Chrome flash installed on your system in tandem with the one of your regular browser. In order for the Statistic functionallity working in steam itself.
Sorry for reviving a dead post. But after reading I found many answers confusing and/or half right.
Hope this is of more help.
