Steam Adobe Flash Player Download
Hi, I went to check the steam statistics on the steam client, and when I want onto it it prompted me to download flash player. When I go the download, (in the steam browser) and hit install, I can't find the installer on my computer. Can Someone help me with this? is steams client browser not able to download off the web?

Funny thing...I just opened steam and it worked perfectly fine. But I haven't done anything different. All I've done is restart my computer. Whatever, it works!!!
That's because you restarted Steam. Looks like you haven't done that before.

Have a flash issue with win 10 and steam client. Win 10 uses browser plugin for Edge browser which means there is no system wide flash installed. I get exactly what Keyes describes in original post in that steam client is saying flash needs to be installed which is strange as videos in store play fine and it is only for some web page features like the charts in steam stats that steam client goes to adobe website to download a 32 bit flash plugin for Chrome browsers. Right clicking the downlod button for the download from adobe website confirms version of plugin as https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=FP_18_for_Firefox_-_NPAPI&os=Windows%208&browser_type=KHTML&browser_dist=Chrome&a=McAfee_Security_Scan_Plus_Chrome_Browser&dualoffer=false.

Attempting to download flash plugin from another browser downloads the version for that browser unless get flash for another machine is used. i.e. choose from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

In steamos a very similar situation occurs in that a 32 bit flash plugin for steam@steamos client can be easily placed in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ with the 64 bit version for desktop@steamos being placed in /home/desktop/.mozilla/plugins/
My point being it is browser plug in versions of flash that is needed.

Can anybody confirm the path to downloads for steam client in windows?
Can any body confirm path to where 32 bit libflashplayer.so needs placed in default steam install on windows?

Downloading and installing the ppapi flash version from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ is what stoppped steam from complaining and to start working as expected once again.

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?no_redirect is the URL. You get there when clicking "Download Flash" from the stats page.
I can confirm that you need the "Windows 32-bit , English, Chrome" variant.

Not clicking the "download flash" in warning box http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=511145870 but click on "Steam Hardware & Software Survey"and then another flash missing warning will appear. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=511144870 Keep on clicking ok until steam takes you to adobe website from within steam client where adobe website attempts to download npapi version of flash plugin for steam client. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=511143684 Right clicking the "Install Now" button shows it links to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=FP_18_for_Firefox_-_NPAPI&os=Windows%208&browser_type=KHTML&browser_dist=Chrome&a=McAfee_Security_Scan_Plus_Chrome_Browser&dualoffer=false. The charts loaded even without ppapi flash installed but keep on getting the errors without ppapi version. Right clicking the download button on adobe website confirms npapi flash version wants to be downloaded automaticaly. It is the ppapi version that is needed to stop steam client from showing the "you need to install flash " warnings.

To be honest i do not know if this is a windows 10 build 10532, adobe flash or beta steam client issue!.

I Had the exact same problem as poster.
Whilst using FFox and flash installed. Because steam browser is chromium based you will need the Chrome flash installed on your system in tandem with the one of your regular browser. In order for the Statistic functionallity working in steam itself.

Sorry for reviving a dead post. But after reading I found many answers confusing and/or half right.
Hope this is of more help.
