if your account got hacked and got it back but you lost some of your precious dota2 items follow these steps below.

(note: this is steam support community, you will need an account for this.)

Step 1: What type of issue?
product: Dota2
category: Steam Trading/In-Game Items (just try to be more specific)
below: find "Stolen/Hijacked Items"

Step 2: Subject: (anything specific related to the subject)

Question: just tell them what happend related to the subject.

Note 1: give them the link where you tried to log in your account, the link where your account got hacked so that they will block it report that site.(hope they will)

Note 2: please do provide the ip address of the hacker. it should be in your email when tried to logged in into that hacker site and asks you for the code. check the email code and click on verify login location and you'll see your ip address and the hacker's ip address located at.

Step 3: attachement: take a screen shot of your history where the hacker traded your items (it's located at your inventory next to trade offers says "view inventory history") and take a screen shot of the hacker's profile page.

don't forget to put your steam acc. log in name and operating system

step 5: wait for steam support to solve the problem. just be patient.


hope this will help you retrieving your precious dota2 items back from these hackers.

if you negotiated with money i'm afraid i can't help you with that. don't trade items with money. use dota2 keys instead.

Just needed to get my money into paypal, however he payied first, then i send the ítem, but now he is disputing the payment

it happend to me today, i followed the steps ( steam support ---> provided the link i log-in with a log from the trade history after i got my account back, i hope steam can get me my items back i lost a lot of rares/mythicals ) when do you think i can hear back from steam and will it be possible to get my items back? thanks for your time

Could take a few days for them to respond, longer during high load times for Steam Support.

they will return all your items but this is for the people that got scammed for the first time. they will only reverse the items once for one-time customer service.
