A reason: "Hmmm... Steam doesn't have the dlcs.... but Origin does... maybe I should buy it from there?"
If you google abit around this subject, you'll see there was a big fuss over the whole EA DLC bussiness.
Aslong as there is $$$$$ to be made people seem to be castrated
Are you talking about Mass 1 or 2? I've already played M1 halfway. If that includes M1, I want to get it on Origin and restart everything.
It had two.
Because those 2 versions include the DLC? I know it does for C2me. So there is no DLC to sell for them.
It's not always that simple...
More info on activating EA games on Origin:

A) Have you even checked EA's own Origin Store? Even *they* don't sell the DLC in their store. The only way to get them is through the bioware site with those crappy bioware points that go on sale once in a blue moon.
B) That last part of your OP quoted below is hilariously ironic since EA not wanting to sell their DLC's through the Steam store (and thus giving up a cut of the profit) is a big part of the reason their newer games aren't on Steam anymore.
" And please don't give us some simple answer as "EA wants the DLCs"
because if EA gives you the right to sell their GAMES, i don't see why they shouldn't allow
you to sell the extras."
You can buy the Mass Effect DLC via the Origin client they just convert Bioware points into my regional cash equivlant (add to cart and you will see).
