Hijacked Account; Items lost

So... please don't say "Tell Steam Support".

I already have, exactly one week ago (give or take a few hours), and have waited patiently. However, I started to lose patience around ~Monday and am very worried I've lost my items for good...

I changed my password after scanning my PC for viruses (found one, removed it) but I already had SteamGuard etc. up...

I've provided proof of my account and, until yesterday, my items had not left the person's inventory. No, I didn't trade someone. I got phished (stupid of me to click a link, eh?) so yeah...

Anyway, the items have gone now, and Steam still haven't replied. Am I right in thinking I have now lost all my items, since they can't "reverse" the trade or whatever they do? I provided picture evidence with all the items lost, including the player's name, but as said he/she no longer has the items...

Also, how long does it normally take for Steam to reply? I searched around, people were saying Hijacked accounts are either very soon, or take a week or so to reply to. I already submitted everything before the Bot mail (SteamSupport bot) told me to change my email/password & provide account ownership for my account... Is there something I've done wrong?

Yeah, I figured there would be a fair amount of people who had the same thing happen to them. I noticed Steam Support kept going down, so that'll be why... Thanks again :)

First calm down then send a message to the sups ,and about after 20 days you will reciev a anwer and maybe your skins.One guy hacked me before 13 days Im still waiting answer just be patient

If you were hacked due to your own compromising of your safety e.g. you clicked a link, they will never get them back for you, it was your fault. Secondly report him and contact support to see if they can do anything.

I got my Dota items hacked about 18 days ago, still no reply just calm down @Get_Paj Steam does care its just too bad support has been taking care of loads of tickets the last two weeks

Dan I've been waiting 18 days for my Stolen item ticket, patience is key right now, Steam support is currently drowned in stolen item tickets.

i have a virus on steam

hi. i have a virus i think is called "ad.adserverplus"

what it does is open a popup, or redirect me to a website FULL of ads.

this was happining in chrome... but i think i fixed it their... now it happens in steam as well.
it happens when i go and click on community/discussions and then try to post something like this.

it will either take me somewhere else, or play ads in the background, with no window open. jsut audio.

it also will say "steam could not connect" or soemthing like that. "steam servers offline"

ive ran at least 5 different anti-viruses, rootkits ETC.... none of them really scan steams web browser.

and i got this damn thing by plugging in a hard drive to delete some ♥♥♥♥ off of it for my little PC tech bussness i have going on. and i knew this was going to happen....

i have actually reinstalled steam and still have this issue. well... the hard drive that had steam on it failed... and i installed steam on a new drive.

it plays sound threw the "steam client webhelper"

short of reformatting.... what do i need to do?

Install Malwarebytes Antimalware. It should remove everything bad you've got on there. Next time please be more careful about what you download or you'll seriously regret it.
