Steam is somehow using all my upload speed.
i have experienced alot of ping problems in csgo lately, when i called my isp and told them this, we figured out that something was using all my upload speed. i turned off my computer and the usage of the upload speed went to 0. when i turned it back on it was on 0.05. after i started steam, steam started to use all the upload speed again, my isp said that this is most ligtely what is causing the problems. does anyone know how i can fix this? tnx.

Steam does not upload at all with a few exceptions.

1.) Cloud . Savegames and such
2.) screenshots/Videos you choose to upload/share
3.) Download / Update of games. Steam has to upload some data so it knows what to download, but thats it.

or you try the extreme and reinstall steam as whole.

what could be possible aswell, is that steam trys to upload alot of your skyrim savegames...

ive disabled all cloud thingis, and all that can cause it to download or upload without me knowing, but it still havent solved the problems. i tried 1 game, and i had 200 ping constant, even though i was the only one using the connection. and as i said, for some reason all of my upload speed was being used after i launched steam. i have tried reinstalling steam, but without luck. but how do i know if steam is uploading all of my skyrim save games?

what kind of internet connection you have, what speeds are listed in your contract with your isp?
What process uses the upload and how much?
Look where the process is located (path).
Maybe its a malware with the name steam.

How do you know then that steam is using your upload?

i was on the phone with my isp, and my upload speed was being used. then i turned my pc off and the usage of the upload speed was gone, when i turned my pc back on the usage was on 0.05, and when i launched steam it went back up to full usage, the IT guy there said that the usage of the upload speed was causing my ping
When did it start to happen?

Are you in beta?

no, i dont see any indications of what steam is doing, it looks like its not doing anything, and im not sure if im in beta or not, how do i know?
Did you enter the beta participation?
Steam>settings
With a firewall or network tool you can see what uses bandwith.
And where its located.

Read about how to do it with the firewall you use.
Or check a computer magazine about usefull programs
