Also try vertical sync to avoid too high fps.
Als... COnfigure your monitor's refresh rate to 60hz. Vsyync basically tries to match your moniutors rate but if your monitor has an improperly configure refresh rate or itr has difficulty reading it.. then... there could be issues.
Check your monitor settings. Set your monitor refresh rate to 60hz
latest nvidia.com driver installed? seriously, never use manufacture drivers, these are outdated in the moment the first card is produced and new drivers can't break older games. and the most thing they modify from the origina drivers is to put their logo in it, makes no reason to use manufacture drivers.
Actually manufacture drivers are usually safer than more recent drivers I've found. There's more testing that goes on with manufacturer drivers. New drivers have a bad habit of worsening performance or introducing glitches sometimes. . Hence why I suggested rolling back the drivers to see if anything changed.
It likely wont be... I mean considering they're likely to release Tf3 fo when Source 2 comes out
