Watching Twitch Streams with Steam Overlay ? Possible ? [Solved] (kind of)

So, I have tried googling it. No good answers that worked.
Is there anyway I can watch Twitch Streams inside my steam overlay web browser.

Pretty annoying having to alt-tab.

I have tried https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
But there is no "Other Browsers" option.

Tried installing WITH the over lay web browser. Doesn't seem possible. I find this a really stupid problem, and I would be surprised if there was no work around for this... but whatever

So yeah




TL;DR. Is there anyway I can watch Twitch Streams with Steam Over Lay Web Browser.

Yeah. Still doesn't work. YouTube works fine so meh. But yeah, don't need to it so much now. Just gonna have to play windowed mode.

PPAPI version works for overlay, steam uses chromium.

Ok everyone, Steam fixed it. Not sure if u need to have Steam Client Beta for this, but they fixed HTML5 in Overlay, now Twitch works.

Twitch streams still dont work for me in Steam Overlay... all other flash sites streaming work fine, I have Adobe 18 flash players installed for activex/npapi and ppapi and this doesnt help. If I install only Adobe ppapi flash player 18 the twitch stream in steam overlay will say "adobe flash player not installed"... so thats definitely not the issue.

I hope something is resolved with this, but I fear there is something at work with these new flash player versions recently when it comes to watching twitch steam in steam overlay or big mode, the twitch chat works fine for the streams but not the video, it just stays black. It works fine in my non steam browser though.

Hey,i use Livestreamer and vlc ,i know its not steam but working,you can play and wach at the same time.just google livstreamer.

I just wanted to say I installed this one and it started to work for me on Steam Overlay. Thanks so much.

FYI, I'm on Windows 7. I used Chrome to download and install it. Restarted Steam and done. Good luck! :)
