1. that response is so stupid I'm not even going to bother telling you where you are wrong because you're to stupid enough to understand.
and wow, congrats that who played, not who bought the game... doesn't matter how many people play the game, doesn't mean to say that ♥♥♥♥ tones carry on buying the game every single day/week.
Trust me, if Steam were lying on their store page, there would be ads for TF2 hats and what-have-you every fourth pixel.
I disagree, granted the game does go on sale more than the average game I will not lie, and 95% of those sales are hackers/boosters buying secondary accounts to sell boosts on, don't get me wrong. but for the remaining times that it isn't on sale I fail to accept that so many people buy it so consistently that it remains in the top 5 every single day/week for the past 5/6 months I've kept an eye on it... not saying that on avg it should be in the top 10 more often than other games perhaps... but every single day?? can you really expect people to believe such a feat is possible over a fairly averagely done game that plagued so much by hackers that 99% of people play Faceit/ESEA to get away with them.. if not just stop playing all together. I mean I should know, I quit playing over a month because I got tired of going against so many in Matchmaking..
Pot, meet kettle.
its the same rediculous conspiracy mongering that the "DayZ shouldn't be in the top 10" either. It's not based on any facts.

The FACTS are that CS:GO over the past year has grown VERY large, and yes, the player base HAS increased dramatically that the game probably does sell VERY well indeed.
Peak players:
Dec 2013 86,000
Jan 2014 93,000
Feb 2014 92,000
Mar 2014 104,000
Apr 2014 151,000
May 2014 141,000
Jun 2014 122,000
Jul 2014 161,000
Aug 2014 160,000
Sep 2014 241,000
Oct 2014 237,000
Nov 2014 269,000
People are buying the game in the THOUSANDS every month. YOU may have stopped playing it, but tens of thousands of people have joined where you stopped!
The number of players playing AT ANY ONE TIME - and that won't be everyone who is buying it, has increased over 3x since Dec last year. It is the second most played game on Steam, it has THREE times the number of players than Team Fortress 2 which is a very popular, FREE game.... so why wouldn't this game be in the top sellers?
Being CS:GO an 11€ game and the second most played game on Steam (after DOTA2) it's not so hard to see it in the Top Seller category, if you ask me.
I'm more surprised about titles like Farming Simulator 15, for example.
