Hi everyone, I have a problem with a game code and my old irrecuperable Steam account...
Good evening, I have an account issue with my licensed Shogun 2 Total War Limited Edition... the issue is, that I fair and square, bought this game and it*s game code from a store in Belgium, in the meanwhile I moved back to Romania and I didn*t like my old e-mail adress anymore, because I got way too much e-mail which I couldn*t stop from being sent(spam filters worked perfectly and everything) so I ditched it... when I ditched my old e-mail adress, my old steam account also became unavailable of course, my old steam account had my Shogun*s 2 Total War Limited Edition game code registered! When I came back to Romania I made a totaly new e-mail adress and thus a totaly new Steam account as well, I tried installing Shogun 2 Limited Edition again, but surprise, Steam wouldn*t accept the game code, saying that an e-mail was sent to the e-mail adress(my old e-mail adress) of the account on which it was regitered and so I can*t enjoy Shogun 2 anymore... I really want to play Shogun 2 again... someone from Steam please HELP!

P.S. I would also like to keep this new account(got a really satisfying name this time) rather than recuperate the old one, also because I made sure I have a much safer e-mail adress this time, which I will also not share so easily anymore...

Can*t Steam provide me with a new game code or something, based on the authenticity of my Shogun 2 Limited Edition, there must be a solution...

because you could've just changed the email address of your old steam account to the new one. you never ditch email addresses, even if you don't use them for communication you can still use them for recover old accounts of other platforms you registered with it and you can simply use them as a dumpster when you register on something you don't want to reveal your real email adress to

anyway account merges are not possible. you can only try to recover your old account back and use both.

Another problem would be also, that my old e-mail adress has been completely deleted by Yahoo, so it just doesn*t exist anymore! Which means there is absolutely no way of getting my old Steam account dragos949(I think...), back...

Because if they would give out keys, everyone could claim they don't have access to their old account, get a new key and sell that on the grey market.
Every game is a one time activation deal. Should have been more careful with your account.

You can contact support to regain access to your old account though.

How do I recover an old account, that doesn*t have an existing e-mail adress anymore?

Reading support articles is that hard?

There would also be the problem that I do not exactly remember the name of my old account very well... I think it was dragos949... but I*m not that entirely sure...

Are you serious? The first part is exactly for your case.
I quote "Regaining access to my Steam account if I don't know my Steam account name"

Have you even read that article?

I*ve tried it again, just like the last time(I knew there was a good reason why I*m posting this)... obviously I don*t have my old e-mail adress anymore, as it doesn*t exist anymore... so therefor the only option left when you click the ”Retrieve a lost account” button, after which you choose ”I don*t know my account name” slot, is the ”Use the product code which you entered” or something in that nature... what the hell is that? What product code which I may have possibly used on my old Steam account...??

You said:- "bought this game and it*s game code from a store in Belgium" - So you have the game code that you used to register the game onto Steam!

Either way it won't help you if you get a Steam Guard popup as it will need an email to be sent to you.

You're probably just better off contacting Support (as per: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2347-QDFN-4366&l=english#cd-keys ) and trying to prove its your account with the cd key that you have.
