i hate steam.
i remember there is no such things old version steam.
The older update system meant that if something was part updated, you couldn't play the game because the files were all out of sync, some were updated, some not, etc.
It also downloaded the ENTIRE new file rather than just the change that was needed.
The new system, copies the files that are to be updated to a new location, downloads the smaller update and updates THOSE files in a separate location to the main game, so you can still play if you want to and you download less from the internet.
The downside is, you need enough space to store the copy of the files to be updated, which in Paydays case are quite large files.
