Halloween Sale 2014, only horror games or all?

Was looking forward to getting certain games on discount but then I realized that this might only apply to horror games? Just wondering if I can get some sort of confirmation on this.

It's been that way on the former Halloween sales.
It's usually just a horror/terror themed sale. Not a full-featured sale like the ones on Winter/Summer.

Well it all depends on Valve really, but I guess as Moderator said, It'll probably be about Scary Videogames sale.

autumn and holiday sale comming up too. that are over 20 combined days of sales. and I hope halloween is only theme based sales, cause then I can just ignore it.

They do not publish sale dates ahead of time as it would hurt business. Last year there was a Spring sale (just indie titles) in March, Summer Sale (most titles) in July, Halloween sale (horror titles), Autumn sale (general) around Thanksgiving, and the Winter sale (general) around Christmas.

Just add stuff to your wishlist and you will be notified when they go on sale. You can also import it into isthereanydeal.com

Horror AND games with halloween-related content, such as Giana Sisters. Or any non-horror game with undead themes. There's plenty of non-horror games appropriate for the sale that can show up.

If Gaben, our Father, doth approve it, thou shall expect to see horror themed titles on sale such as Alien Isolation (doubt it), amnesia, outlast, doorways trilogy, slender, haunted memories, obscure 1 and 2, don't starve (not sure why), killing floor, l4d, dead rising 2, and a lot of other zombie games on sale.

Then again, unless we're all in for a very rude awakening in 4 weeks, there may not even be a Halloween sale because it is so close to Holiday. But as others have said it'll only be 3 days max if there is.

Most people are waiting for the real sale. I'm personally intending toput aside at least $400 for the winter sale, to buy the few games left on Steam worth buying that I don't have.

there is a halloween sale. there will be autumn sale end november and holiday end of year. same procedure as every year, james. the only sale you might expect some bigger event is summer and holiday.
