Depends. Is it a VISA, Mastercard, Discover, or some major card company card? Or just a student ID linked to a special account at your university?

This?
http://personalbanking.bankofireland.com/life-stages/student/student-credit-card/

That shows a Master Card. Does your card have a brand logo on it?

If it's a Master Card, or any of the major card companies, it should work just fine.

It does not have any major company logo on it apart from the actual bank of ireland one.

But ive had my card since i was around 10 and now im 13 so im not too sure if i need to switch cards or what because ive never actually used my card yet and as i said its not to major card logos on it.

Contact your bank then, if you are still a student and passed a certain age you can upgrade that thing to a full fledged bank account.

Pardon?

Spam. Don't worry about it.

Your card has to be from one of the major card companies such as Visa, Mastercard etc.

If it isn't it probably cannot be used to buy stuff on Steam.

If you are only 13, then it's not a credit card. Probably just an ID card for your bank, or maybe an ATM card (Do they call them ATMs in Irelad?).

So, no, you won't be able to use it.

If you have a bank account you may be able to link your bank account to a paypal account and use that. I don't know if there are any age restrictions on Paypal for that.
