In-Browser Chat not working
I'm not sure when this issue began, but for the past two days I've been having issues using the in-browser Steam chat. Every time I log in, I can see my friends list and who is online or not, but my own status appears as offline and I am unable to send any messages. I've tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari on a mobile device) to no avail. The chat window on the actual Steam program does work, but when I do not have access to Steam (like work), I am no longer able to use the in-browser chat. Is anyone else having this problem?

ME! I have no clue what's wrong, I just couldn't send messages. Tried everything and it only worked once for a minute, Have you figured it out?

Doesn't work for me either and Steam support is up to shït... good luck with it!

Yep I have this issue I open up chat window and its just a black screen.

Way to necro a 5 year old discussion if you even read the date.

A) You're using an out of date, or unsupported browser.

B) Cache issue, delete your cache.

C) You're using add-ons, or extension to cause the issue.

D) Certain protocols is being blocked either what you did, using custom DNS, or VPN service you connected to. Or using 3rd party apps to block these protocols.

E) Server issues are happening.

Yeah, I just had this problem today. Tried opening up unread messages on the browser client and now I have a permanent loading screen, where the chat system should be. Any solutions?
