Windows can't verify digital signatures of all the Steam files

Hello everyone.

I've been experiencing a widespread VAC authentification error for more than month. I followed all the instructions of Steam Support and community, but so far nothing helped.

Today i got the same error and watched through logs. I found that my Win 8.1 failed to verify digital signatures of all the files, related to Steam: Steam.exe, SteamService.exe, SteamWebHelper,exe, GameOverlayUI, etc.


Might it be a reason for VAC errors? Should i (and how) fix the problem with signatures checks?

Windows doesn't verify your VAC files. Either you've read the log wrong or the log is wrong itself.

More details please. Like the event ID and source ID.

Apologize in advance, if've done anything wrong. I hope you meant this:

I checked all the other directories of Event Viewer, but didn't find any similar error there.

mbamchameleon is a service from malwarebytes antimalware

So, i can solve the problem by uninstalling Malwarebytes?

Thanks, will uninstall. But VAC error will remain anyway :(

Well. Have you walked through the whole article?

Yep, i did except for enabling kernel integrity. There is an error in command prompt, which tells something like the value doesn't exist.

And what was the output of the other commands?

All of them were implemented successfully, but i still have VAC error.
