i forgot my account name used to log in to steam

i want to ask here. i forgot my account name that i used to log in to steam since the last time i log in is more than 1 year ago. i forgot the email i used as well. the only thing i remember is the user name since i had this account with my first account friend. is there a way i can retrieve back my account?

Hello. I have just written this topic and gonna help you with your problem. If you know your account name (login which is used for logging on Steam), you, of course, can get back your account.

First of all, I want to say that there's the official guide written by Steam describing how you can solve your problem. Read this topic, and I hope that you will be in know how to do this.

the displayname is mostly and should mostly be not the username. so it doesn't really matter if you find your displayname over a friends account. you need either username or email to recover the account. if you know the username for sure but don't have access to the email, you have to use Steam Support.
