I remember missing it.
That thread is on the /suggestion/ forum. Someone (just a random user of Steam, like us) /suggested/ that Steam do that. However Steam does /not/ do that.
i suppose Valve could make a "birthday cake emoticon" that was non-tradeable and non-marketable and give it out to people on their birthday. Perhaps each year changing the icing colour or something.. or adding a new candle.. Then it would be like a guild wars 2 gift.
The original poster here, however, wanted a free game from their wishlist.. which would be abused as heck. People would create 365 alts and get free games every day of the year.
Steam's account numbers would certainly go through the roof ... scammers with 365 accounts, one for each day ... lol.
